"Miss Hazel & Hector's Halloween Hocus~Pocus" ... NOW in my Etsy Shop!

“Miss Hazel & Hector’s Halloween Hocus~Pocus”  

this enchanting witch and her trusty crow are ready to sprinkle some Hocus~Pocus magic on you!

Miss Hazel and Hector are hand sculpted of paper mâché and paper clay, and then hand painted. Miss Hazel holds a magic wand created of polymer clay and wood, with crystal and gold-tone beads. Her hat is decorated with a button sewn onto a little felt piece. Hector the crow wear a ruffle ribbon collar (with a brass bell for decorative purposes only) and holds a black & white cording reigns in his mouth. On his wing, Hector carries Miss Hazel’s “Hocus~Pocus” magic spells in a sealed glass bottle. Miss Hazel and Hector have a little sprinkling of glitter here and there.

“Miss Hazel & Hector’s Halloween Hocus~Pocus” is filled with magic and will be a bewitching addition to your Halloween collection.

"Plate Spinning Pete" ~ Now in my Etsy Shop!

"Plate Spinning Pete" from the Big Top to my Etsy Shop! 

He is hand sculpted of papier mâché and paper clay, and then hand painted with detail. "Plate Spinning Pete" wears a ruffled ribbon collar, buttons on his clown costume, and pom-poms on his shoes.  His striped hat has a chenille stem brim and pom-pom on top. In his hands he holds wooden sticks with wood turnings to represent the plates and bowls. He is secured onto a hand painted polka dotted papier mache base.  “Plate Spinning Pete” will be a fun addition to your Halloween collection.

Welcome to My Studio

This is my petite art studio, packed with oodles of containers full of art goods, inspiration and magic.  And always, right by my side, is my little muse Tucker.
Let the enchantment begin . . .
we’re ready to create something bewitching!

Creating begins with pencil and paper, and sketching out a design. On my desk I keep my tools in vintage containers of all kinds, creamers, mugs, planters, etc.

After I construct an armature for a piece

I'm ready to get messy: News paper,

papier mache and paper clay, let the fun begin!

To make my trick or treat totes, I do it 

old school style - I start with a balloon, and 

then layers and layers of newspaper and glue.

Sculpting finished on these special order pieces, 

now comes the Gesso primer.

Halloween colors ready to brush on some magic.

After the base coat of a terra cotta color, 

I always paint the faces first: 

Mr. Moon is beaming while he waits for his 

puppy friend, Toby to come to life with color.

Finishing touches on the man in the moon.

Completed art works waiting for their forever homes.

--> This little Wizard of a candy corn, is ready for some Treat or Treat Magic! Harry is hand sculpted of paper mâché and paper clay, and then hand painted. He holds a Jack O’Lantern Trick or Treat tote, filled with sugar coated candies (tiny glass beads with a sprinkling of glitter) in one hand, and glittery star wizard wand, in the other. Harry P. Corn has twisted chenille stem arms with paper clay mittens and wooden dowel legs with paper clay shoes.  He is secured to a 3 ¼” x 3 ¼” hand painted wooden base. “Harry P. Corn” is ready for a Magical Halloween with you!
